Hudson Hangout!

I came to visit Zion national park but our previous plans for my dog Hudson fell through so I stumbled upon this awesome place! They were kind enough to watch my boy at the last minute so I could still see the park!

What a great location! They even had a pool for the dogs to enjoy! Just a few miles from the park and plenty of room for all the dogs to play 🙂 My dog Hudson is a puppy still and has a lot of energy, this didn’t phase them at all! I am always worried when leaving my dog anywhere but I can say if you leave your dog with them they are in great hands and you have nothing to worry about!

The price is unbelievable and Hudson was exhausted to say the least when I picked him up. They even walked him to my car 🙂 thank you again for being kind enough to let Hudson hangout with you so I could enjoy the park!

Happy and Exhausted!

Fantastic!
I had never boarded any of my dogs before and I left my 6 yo rescue dog with Doggie Dude Ranch for 2 days and 2 nights. I was really anxious about it and the staff was great. I even got a call an hour after I dropped him off letting me know he was fine and having fun.

He DID have a great time and was happy and exhausted when we picked him up. I highly recommend them and will trust them with my dog the next time I visit Springdale.

Lifesaver

This place was a lifesaver, I’m so thankful for the service they offer.  I had a camping trip planned to Zion and wanted to hike the narrows.  The plan was to leave my dog in the RV, but I didn’t feel good about that.  As the trip neared, it made me really nervous to think of my dog in that RV, what if the air conditioner broke?  What if the power went out?

I waited WAY too long to make the call to Doggy Dude Ranch, but am I glad I did. Fortunately, they were able to take my dog last minute.  They came to my camp site, picked her up in the morning (on time!) and then dropped her off early evening. (The pick up and drop off was extra $, but well worth it in my opinion.)  I had an awesome day hiking, if my dog had been in the RV all day, I would have been stressed out.

If you’re planning on hiking in Zion, don’t leave your dog in your RV.  Call this place and make a reservation for your doggy dude!

I wish all National Parks had a Doggy Dude Ranch nearby, perhaps they need to franchise.

Doggy Dude Ranch makes me a better doggy!

I just wanted to say thanks for all the love, kindness and good times you’ve shown me over the past year. Because of my experiences at DDR I will always be a better doggy.

We’ll drive from Salt Lake City to have our pups at DDR!

We just wanted to thank you all for your exceptional service with our babies. We will say it again and again that we are so grateful to have found Doggie Dude Ranch this year. It’s a big deal to prefer your care and facility over our own family when it comes to leaving town.

We know our pups are in the best of hands and treated with love and care. Although we live in Salt Lake City we know that the drive is well worth the peace in mind of knowing our babies are well taken care of.

Thanks again! Much Love

Doggy Dude Ranch goes above and beyond!

My boyfriend and I are moving from San Diego, CA to Albany, NY with our fur baby, Molly. We were running late from Las Vegas to Zion, so I called and left a message to let them know. When we finally arrived 2.5 hours after Molly’s check in time, they welcomed us with smiles. We filled out some paperwork, Molly was ushered into the house, and we continued to Zion to “hike” the Narrows.

We were planning on picking Molly up that evening, but we didn’t realize how long it was going to take us to get to the Narrows and back (& we were already running late). The ladies at Doggy Dude Ranch were graciously accommodating and allowed Molly to spend the night. We were extremely grateful.

We picked up our happy and healthy looking pup the next day, they gave us a summary of her stay (they took the time to see if Molly would get along with the smaller dogs so she could have some social time with them and they fed her grain-free dog, food half wet, half dry like we do at home), and we parted ways. I left a big tip for their absolutely amazing service and patience.

Beginning of a great road trip!

Thank you again for taking such good care of Susie Q and Toby while I visited Zion… meeting you was the beginning of a great road trip!

Five Woofs & A High Paw!

We took our 7 year old pomehuahua, Chico Cuddlemuffin, to Doggy Dude Ranch in July. He had never been away from us before, and it was so comforting to see that he LOVED it there.

The staff is really nice and we appreciate them so much. Chico does, too! He gives them “Five Woofs and a High Paw!”

My Pup had a great vacation too!

I brought my lab here to play for several days while we were staying and hiking in Zion National Park.  I am always a little nervous about leaving her at new places, but Doggy Dude Ranch was great!  When we dropped her off, they checked her vaccination papers and talked to us about her disposition before harnessing her up to walk her back to the play areas.  She seemed a little unsure, but when we returned at the end of the day, she was running and playing with a group of smaller dogs, happy as can be.  I appreciated them grouping her with the smaller dogs, as she gets overwhelmed with some rough playing dogs, and it seems they noticed this and took good care of her.

We returned several days later and she was happy and excited to get out of the car and get down to the play areas.  She played in the pools while we were gone, but was only a little dirty and no longer wet when we picked her up.  A plus!

Reservations:
We made reservations ahead of time as it was over Memorial Day Weekend.  I HIGHLY recommend you do this… there aren’t really other dog sitter areas close by Zion, and I saw them have to turn away a couple because they were full for the weekend.  Never hurts to plan ahead.

They were knowledgeable and took good care of my pup, who had fun on vacation too. Thanks Doggy Dudes!  🙂

We need to clone DDR!

I was extremely expressed with the Doggy Dude Ranch.  We hate leaving our bouncy 2-year-old German Shepherd in a 6′ kennel at our veterinarian’s office when we visit the national parks, so we took her with us on our road trip.  She stayed at the DDR while we hiked a full day in Zion.  She emerged at the end of the day as alert and happy as I’ve ever seen her.

We were driving back home that day and my husband was concerned about her getting really dirty for the  drive home, so they had her play inside with the owner’s lab and another large dog.  They also played  on an outside patio area.

The DDR accommodates  virtually any dog by placing him or her with similar dogs in terms of size and/or temperment, or with no other dogs if they’re not dog-friendly.  I’ve never encountered another facility as accommodating to the owner’s concerns and the needs of the individual dog as this one is.  I only wish I could clone them and bring them to our neighborhood in California!

Bella did not want to leave!

We were at Zion for 5 days. We did some backcountry hikes as well as day hikes. We left our precious little girl, Bella with Doggy Dude.

We read the reviews on Yelp and trusted them. When we went to drop her off, we met with three staffs and we got really good vibe from them.

When we picked up Bella, she wasn’t that excited to see us, she wanted more playtime! She normally super excited to see us. This confirmed that she was indeed having a blast.

They separate the small dogs from the big dogs. Each group has a kitty pool. The price was so reasonable.

Don’t leave your dog at home!

One downside to bringing your furry friend on a road trip to a National Park is that they are only allowed on paved roads. Luckily I found this place on Yelp and boarded our pup for the day while we were exploring Zion. Their website had all the information I needed.

I called ahead to reserve a spot of my pup, filled our their form and emailed them his vaccination records. The backyard had a huge fenced in space for the dogs to run around. I knew he would be happy there with the other dogs.

If you’re planning a trip to Zion, don’t leave your dog at home. This is a great place for them to stay and Springdale has a lot of dog friendly places also.

Peace of Mind

Doggy Dude Ranch is amazing! They took our two large dogs last minute for doggy daycare so we could hike Zion on our way across country. The staff was courteous and so great with the dogs.

When we picked them up they were worn out from running and swimming all day. They were watched the whole time and when it got too hot, brought inside.

I would highly recommend that dog families drop their pups off here for peace of mind while enjoying the park!

Taken care of

This doggy daycare is awesome.  They took good care of my two dogs, Bella and Mikey this last weekend for two days.

They said Bella got to play with the other dogs in the larger play area, but my other dog, Mikey, isn’t so social so he had to stay inside his covered kennel, as there was rain the in forecast.  The first day though he was out with Bella inside a huge play area, and they were running around having a good time.

Everyone who worked there was really nice and tried their best to accommodate our needs. The only thing was I kind of felt rushed a bit during the day knowing I had to be back at 5:45pm to pick them up.  I wish there was a later pick up time, as my group isn’t so keen on getting up early and getting the dogs there by 10am, but it all worked out.

Thanks again….!!
